How To Make Fried Cookie Dough In An Air Fryer

Hey ya’ll! Today I am writing about my favorite fair food, fried cookie dough! We recently got an air fryer because of the raving reviews we have heard, so I have been trying a lot of new recipes. Here is how I made the fried cookie dough balls.

What You Need:

  • Air Fryer
  • Pillsbury Croissant Dough
  • Flour
  • Baking Soda
  • Salt
  • Butter
  • Sugar
  • Brown Sugar
  • Milk
  • Vanilla
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Powdered Sugar

Step 1: Make The Cookie Dough

This cookie dough is an eggless recipe that I have been making since middle school. I absolutely love to eat the dough uncooked and it doesn’t hurt my belly as much without the eggs. Here is what you need:

  • 1 & 1/4 cups of flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of butter softened (very important that it is not melted)
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips

Mix and refrigerate!

Step 2: Place Cookie Dough in Croissant

Next, unroll the Pillsbury dough on a pan. You will spoon out small amounts of cookie dough onto the dough and then fold the sides so it is completely closed. Then, you can roll it into a ball if you want.

Step 3: Place in Air Fryer

This step is really dependent on your air fryer settings. I pressed bake at 400 degrees and cooked for 5 minutes. Depending on how your air fryer cooks, you may need to flip your cough dough balls so both sides get cooked. Mine were golden brown all around at 5 minutes so I did not need to do that.

Step 4: Powdered Sugar & Eat!

Add some sifted powdered sugar on top and enjoy your yummy fried cookie dough balls!

This works super well for as a dupe for any fair food you are craving. Some other ideas you could do are fried oreos or reeces cups. Some of my family members loved this and some thought it was too sweet. I assume that the extra sweetness was coming from the Pillsbury dough, so next time I might replace it with pie crust. If you try this recipe please comment below with a picture of your cookie dough and what you thought!

Sincerely,
