1. Obe Fitness
I fell into Obe Fitness’ tik tok marketing free trial trap and ended up loving it haha. It started out as a cheap New Years Eve promotion and I have been taking their online workout classes ever since! They have all kinds of classes from dance, spin, HIIT, yoga, strength, meditation and more. They even have combination classes. Each class is only 28 minutes which easily fits into my schedule and lets you choose classes by equipment available to you and other preferences. I am really enjoying it and highly recommend it to anyone.

2. Trader Joe’s Ravioli
My roommates put me on Trader Joe’s Ravioli and I’ve been obsessed. They have so many different variations but my favorite is the squash one. Weird, I know.
3. Post It Notes
I have been writing everything on post it notes. Quotes, random reminders, to do lists. Most recently, I have been keeping track of all of the good moments of my day by writing it on a colorful post it and placing them all in a jar. It is great to look back on when I am feeling down and feel like nothing good is happening.
4. My Camera
College isn’t really the best place to take your DSLR camera around because there is always the worry of theft or damage to it. It’s not a big deal because I can take pictures on my Iphone, but I do miss DSLR photography. I decided to start a little side hustle photographing graduating seniors and it has been so fun! It has really brought back my passion.
5. Walks By The River
I absolutely LOVE the riverwalk in Columbia. The views there are just stunning and bodies of water really calm me. I started out by walking just two short miles and then working my way up to five. I am going to try to keep up with my walking while I am home for the summer.
6. Avocado Toast
Who would have thought that I would be saying this? I used to hate avocados because dumb middle school me used to mash them up and deep condition my hair with them. Now, I love guacamole and avocado toast as my favorite snacks. I’ve been making my avocado toast with a fruit salsa for a sweet treat or with a hard boiled egg and everything but the bagel seasoning for a more savory option.
7. Carly Pearce, Morgan Wade and Lainey Wilson
Female country artists never get enough credit and let me tell you, these women are incredible. I have them on repeat. Check out their music to listen to their powerful lyrics and beautiful, unique voices.
8. Bright Colors
This one is for you, Emily. My sister and I have very different styles and we love to laugh about it. She is trendy in monochromatic, black, white and neutrals. I am sporty with bright blues, oranges, and patterns. Wearing bright colors just puts me in a good mood! I particularly love ZARA’s bright colored bodysuits for my nights out.
9. Skincare and Sunscreen
While I don’t know the first thing about makeup, I am trying to improve my skincare. I enjoy my nightly routine of putting on toner, retinol lotion, acne spot treatment, eye cream and using my gua sha. In the mornings I just put on a basic sunscreen face lotion and hydrating eye cream to get me ready for my day. My liking to skincare isn’t in the products themselves because most of them are drugstore or Olay. For me, it’s about feeling refreshed and following a routine.
10. Smiley Slippers
I have never had slippers before this year and will never go back. College houses are gross. Even if you clean it a good amount, there is still always dirt and dog hair everywhere. My slippers have been an absolute game changer for me and I never walk around the house without them. Specifically, my smiley ones because they are so comfy and fun.
11. Linked In
Linked In is my new social media. Maybe that makes me lame, maybe that makes me a genius. I love to see where people are working for their internships, what companies I like are engaged in, tourism news updates, and learn about my mentor’s career background. There is so much to learn on this website, not to mention that activity looks good to employers. Best of all, I even found out about incredible internships that I applied for just by looking at my Linked In feed.
12. Tik Tok Vlogs
Blogs are dead. I’m aware of this, but I keep writing because it’s a great outlet for me and my strong suit. It is funny though because our generation (including myself) still likes to receive informational blog content, but would rather watch it than read it. Insert: YouTube Vlogs.
Now, Tik Tok has blown up for being a crossover between Instagram and YouTube which short videos. Some of my favorite Tik Tok creators have been embracing the vlog concept by sharing advice, day in the life videos, tutorials, and aesthetic travel videos. I have loved following these creators and find them very inspiring.
I might try out this format myself, but as a photographer, I have to get more comfortable in front of the camera when I’m normally behind it.
This post has been so fun to write because I feel like you can tell a lot about my life just from twelve small things. Maybe I’ll post another one again in the winter. What are your favorite things right now?
