The Best Instagram-able Spots & Things To Do in NoDa Charlotte, NC.

If you are a photographer, you will die while walking around NoDa area of Charlotte, NC. Known as the art district, the NoDa is covered in wall murals on almost every turn. In addition to several instagram backdrops, NoDa has great restaurants and things to do! Here is a list of things we did on our girls day trip to the city.

Wall art #1:  3306-C N Davidson St, Charlotte, NC 28205

This wall art is right outside of Salud Cerveceria, a beer, sandwich and pizza place. We originally found this because it is right near a parking garage that we parked in.

Wall art #2:  3221 N Davidson St, Charlotte, NC 28205

This spiral is incredibly popular. In fact, you might have seen it even before you traveled to NoDa. Sometimes cars park in front of it, so you have to get a bit creative with angles and posing.

Wall Art #3: 424 E 36th St. Suite 400 Charlotte, NC

This mural is called confetti stripes. It is found right beside Jeni’s Ice cream.

The wall also has a quote that says “make people feel loved today” which is super cute.

Photo Backdrop

This photo back drop was probably my favorite to take pictures in front of. This is at a brewery just around the corner from Jeni’s Ice cream, if you walk towards the train tracks. There are several picnic tables with pretty lights hanging and colorful dream catchers. Bonus if you can get a train passing by in your pic!

Wall Art #4: 3204 N. Davidson St.

Calling all environmentalists & marine science majors!

Wall Art #5: 3204 N. Davidson St.

This chalkboard wall art is along the Rail Trail, and allows the visitor to get interactive. Previously, the prompt was “Before I Die” but when we went it said “I Wish I Had The Courage To”. It is a really great concept and really unfortunate when people abuse it to write inappropriate things and ruin it for others.

Things To Do In NoDa

Brunch at Tupelo Honey

Tupelo Honey’s brunch is open until 4, which is amazing for all the late sleepers because you really don’t want to miss out on this food. The restaurant starts you off with some (free) fresh biscuits and blueberry jam, to enjoy with your fresh juices or any of their multiple different mimosas.

The menu has so much to chose from, including lunch options too. My friends ordered the eggs benedict and LOVED it meanwhile I drooled over the fried chicken, pancakes, and bacon platter.

I would easily drive to Charlotte again just to eat here. Also, if you get stuck in a waitlist, there is a super cute boutique below the restaurant called Adair Style Studio that we all purchased something from 🙂 https://adairstylestudio.com/

Mac Taby Cat Cafe

We stumbled across this cafe while walking through NoDa and totally loved it. The interior was so well decorated and I really like the vibe of the place.

Processed with VSCO with k2 preset

There are 12 cats that you can “book an appointment” to play with for either 30 minutes or 1 hour. Because people get such a long time to play with the cats and only 15 people are allowed in at once, we didn’t get the chance to play with them ourselves. However, if you know that this is something that you would be interested definitely reserve a spot!

PopBar

This dessert place allows you to order popsicles made with gelato, yogurt or sorbet to be dipped into sauces and topings. Some of these sauces would be vanilla, chocolate, marshmallow, etc. The topings are limitless it would be silly for me to try to name them all. This place is really cool and I have never seen anything like it. I definitely recommend you check it out.

That’s it! That is pretty much a sum of what we did on our day trip to NoDa Charlotte. It is crazy to think about all of the things in Charlotte that we didn’t get to, but I am so excited to go back!
