Do you find that Christmas shopping is chaotic? Do you never know what your family wants? Or what size and where to find it? Several years ago, I found the app Giftster and it has completely changed how my family Christmas shops.
What is Giftster?
Giftster is an app to organize what people want for Christmas and allows all people invited to see your Christmas list. You can put in an item you want, and people can buy directly from the link you provide in the description in the app. On top of that, other relatives are able to see what has already been purchased or reserved so you are not gifted the same thing twice!
How does it work?
One person joins and is the “host” and then can send out a link to their family to join a group. Once the family joins, they are in a group where only they can see each other’s lists. You are allowed to create as many lists as you want for different occasions and shop for others. It is also possible to be apart of several different groups.

How do you make your list?
You will press a “+” button to add a new list, and then again to add a product. I like to paste the link of my item and have the app fill in the blanks for me. You insert the link where to buy it, a picture of the product, the price, quantity, where to buy, and a ranking. The ranking is a unique feature to show your family how badly you want this gift between 1-5 stars. There is also a description area to provide information about desired size and color.
Any extra features?
The app also allows for a parent to add their children’s list’s to their account without making a new one.
It also has a gift preferences section where you can say your size, hobbies, likes and dislikes, and address.
This app is free to download, and is perfect for everyone during the Christmas time. Nobody want useless nic nacs just as nobody wants to blindly shop for someone else. I have loved using it and I highly recommend that you do too.
